Egypt Itinerary: December 1–13, 2026
Day 0 – Tuesday, December 1, 2026: Welcome to Cairo
Arrive in Cairo, where the pulse of modern Egypt meets one of the world’s oldest civilizations. You’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your luxury hotel, where the Nile flows quietly beyond the city’s vibrant energy. Settle in and prepare for the extraordinary journey ahead.
Day 1 – Wednesday, December 2, 2026: Egypt’s First Pyramids & Ancient Origins
Travel deep into Egypt’s earliest pyramid fields at Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid—the world’s first monumental stone structure. Continue to the Red and Bent Pyramids of Dahshur, where you’ll walk inside ancient tombs and witness the evolution of pyramid construction. Along the way, enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch surrounded by desert landscapes older than history itself.
Day 2 – Thursday, December 3, 2026: The Pyramids of Giza & Cairo’s Culinary Soul
Stand face-to-face with the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and learn how these monumental structures still defy explanation. Later, explore Cairo through its flavors on a guided food tour, tasting beloved local dishes while discovering neighborhoods most travelers never see. This is Egypt beyond the guidebooks—lived, tasted and experienced.
Day 3 – Friday, December 4, 2026: Luxor—Gateway to Ancient Thebes
Fly south to Luxor, once the capital of the pharaohs and still one of the greatest open-air museums on Earth. Explore the Luxor Museum and the magnificent mortuary temple of Ramses III at Medinat Habu, where vivid carvings bring ancient victories to life. Visit local artisans in an alabaster workshop before settling in along the Nile.
Day 4 – Saturday, December 5, 2026: Temples of the Gods & Private Dahabiya Boarding
Explore the vast Karnak Temple Complex, where towering columns and hieroglyphs tell stories of divine power and royal ambition. Continue to Luxor Temple, once connected to Karnak by the legendary Avenue of the Sphinxes, before boarding your private Dahabiya—a traditional Nile sailing vessel—for an unforgettable voyage south. Day 5 – Sunday, December 6, 2026: Valley of the Kings & Egypt’s Golden Age

Visit the magnificent temple of Queen Hatshepsut and stand before the towering Colossi of Memnon, silent sentinels of the past. Day 6 – Monday, December 7, 2026: Sailing the Nile & Temple of Horus
Arrive at the remarkably preserved Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, where ancient rituals are still etched into towering walls. Continue sailing through the Esna Locks while watching daily life unfold along the riverbanks. In the evening, enjoy traditional Egyptian music beneath the stars on deck.
Day 7 – Tuesday, December 8, 2026: Hidden Nile Temples & Riverside Life
Visit the dramatic sandstone quarries of Gebel el-Silsila, where stone for Egypt’s greatest temples was once carved. Explore Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely dedicated to two gods, and visit its fascinating Crocodile Museum. Day 8 – Wednesday, December 9, 2026: Aswan & Nubian Culture
Disembark in Aswan, Egypt’s southern jewel, and visit the remarkable Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis and beautifully situated on a Nile island. Cruise the river aboard a traditional felucca and experience the warmth of Nubian hospitality during a visit to a vibrant local village. This is Egypt at its most authentic and welcoming.
Day 9 – Thursday, December 10, 2026: Abu Simbel—Monument to Ramses II
Journey to the extraordinary temples of Abu Simbel, carved directly into cliffs more than 3,000 years ago. Stand beneath the colossal statues of Ramses II and discover the story behind one of Egypt’s greatest archaeological engineering rescues. Return to Cairo for the final chapter of your adventure.
Day 10 – Friday, December 11, 2026: Cairo’s Living History & Legendary Bazaar
Discover Egypt’s rich heritage at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, home to the royal mummies of some of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs. Visit the historic Cairo Citadel and Mohamed Ali Mosque, which offer sweeping views across the city. End the day wandering through Khan el-Khalili bazaar, where spices, lanterns and traditional craftsmanship fill centuries-old streets.
Day 11 – Saturday, December 12, 2026: The Grand Egyptian Museum & Farewell Cairo
Explore the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of Tutankhamun and the world’s largest collection devoted to ancient Egyptian civilization. Continue to Coptic Cairo to discover the city’s early Christian history before gathering for a farewell dinner and cultural performance. Day 12 – Sunday, December 13, 2026: Departure
