Continue the adventure by visiting Aït Ben Haddou, the spectacular fortified village that stood in for ancient Egypt in The Mummy. Tour the legendary Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, travel through the High Atlas Mountains, and experience the cinematic landscapes that brought the film to life.

Day 0 – Friday, March 19, 2027

Arrival in Cairo

Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you'll be met by our VIP airport representative before immigration and escorted through customs before transferring to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax, recover from your flight, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 1 – Saturday, March 20, 2027 Saqqara: The Original Mummies

Begin your journey where pyramid building—and many of Egypt's earliest mummification traditions—first took shape. Explore Saqqara's remarkable necropolis, including the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the Pyramid of Teti with its beautifully preserved Pyramid Texts, and the richly decorated Mastaba of Kagemni before continuing to Dahshur to visit the Bent and Red Pyramids. This evening, celebrate the start of the tour with a welcome dinner and a fun round of The Mummy movie trivia.

Day 2 – Sunday, March 21, 2027: The Great Pyramids & The Sphinx

Spend the day exploring Egypt's most iconic archaeological site—the Giza Plateau. Stand before the Great Pyramid, enjoy panoramic views of all three pyramids, visit the Great Sphinx, and, for those interested, descend into the Great Pyramid itself. After time to relax back at the hotel, gather in the evening for a special outdoor screening of The Mummy overlooking the desert.

Day 3 – Monday, March 22, 2027 - Explore Luxor

This morning, fly south to Luxor, often called the world's greatest open-air museum. Visit the outstanding Luxor Museum before exploring the immense Karnak Temple Complex, then experience the magic of Luxor Temple beautifully illuminated after sunset along the Avenue of the Sphinxes.

Day 4 – Tuesday, March 23, 2027 - Valley of the Kings

An optional sunrise hot air balloon ride offers spectacular views over ancient Thebes before exploring Luxor's legendary West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the lesser-known Valley of the Workers, gaining insight into both Egypt's royal elite and the skilled craftsmen who built their tombs.

Day 5 – Wednesday, March 24, 2027

Cruising the Nile: Edfu & Kom Ombo

Continue your journey along the Nile aboard your river cruise as you visit the fascinating temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. This evening, relax onboard with dinner and a special screening of The Mummy Returns while sailing through Upper Egypt.

Day 6 – Thursday, March 25, 2027

Aswan

Discover the highlights of Aswan, including the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the beautiful island sanctuary of Philae Temple. Later, enjoy a peaceful felucca sail on the Nile before experiencing traditional Nubian music and culture during an evening performance.

Day 7 – Friday, March 26, 2027

Abu Simbel & Return to Cairo

Rise early for one of Egypt's most unforgettable experiences—a visit to the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel, relocated stone by stone to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Later today, return to Cairo by air for your final days exploring Egypt's vibrant capital.

Day 8 – Saturday, March 27, 2027 - Islamic Cairo & Living Traditions

Explore Cairo's medieval heart with visits to the impressive Citadel of Saladin and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Finish the day wandering through the bustling lanes of Khan el-Khalili Bazaar before enjoying authentic Egyptian hospitality over dinner in a local home.

Day 9 – Sunday, March 28, 2027 - Grand Egyptian Museum

Spend your final full day discovering the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian treasures. After lunch, enjoy one final opportunity to soak in Cairo before gathering for a memorable farewell dinner celebrating your Egyptian adventure.

Day 10 – Monday, March 29, 2027

Departure or Morocco Extension

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your journey home or continue your adventure with the optional four-day Morocco extension inspired by the filming locations of The Mummy.

Day 11 – Tuesday, March 30, 2027 – Marrakech to Ouarzazate

Cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n'Tichka Pass before arriving in Ouarzazate, often called the "Hollywood of Africa." After checking into your kasbah-style hotel, stroll through the historic Kasbah Taourirt before enjoying a traditional Moroccan welcome dinner.

Day 12 – Wednesday, March 31, 2027 – Aït Ben Haddou & Atlas Film Studios

Today's journey is a dream for archaeology and movie lovers alike. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Ben Haddou—one of the filming locations for The Mummy—before stepping behind the scenes at Atlas Film Studios, where you'll visit movie sets used in productions including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones.

Day 13 – Thursday, April 1, 2027 Departure

Enjoy one final Moroccan breakfast before transferring to Marrakech Airport for your onward journey home, bringing an unforgettable adventure through the real landscapes behind The Mummy to a close.
